Here's my commentary on the Netflix animated film "K-Pop Demon Hunters" as a therapist working with people with deep shame, particularly over sexuality struggles. And I weigh in on the debate over Jonathan Pageau's take that the movie's resolution promotes prideful "self-esteem" and LGBTQ "coming out" celebration.

September 25-27, 2025, I had the immense honor of being at the American Association of Christian Counselors World Conference in Nashville, TN, and co-presenting with Dr. Christopher Rosik, one of my fellow board members on the Alliance for Therapeutic Choice and Scientific Integrity! We presented on Censoring Christian Sexuality: Insights from the Trenches. In my portion, I outlined the Christian vision of sexuality and then the major factors why there is opposition to Christian sexual morality and Christian sexuality counseling, and why there are so many divisions within the church on the topic. For the sake of time, I had to chop a lot. So, here's a more thorough teaching, diving into philosophy, culture dynamics, and Moral Foundations Theory.

On Oct. 7th, the US Supreme Court heard oral arguments for the Kaley Chiles v. Salazar case involving a Christian counselor challenging Colorado's ban against "conversion therapy" for minors. This is a huge case for those of us who have been fighting for therapeutic choice since the first state ban in California passed in 2012.
