Here's a "reflession" (a reflection on a therapy session) on a time a client asked my thoughts on other Christians telling him he just needs to get close to God and God will fill him with such love that he'll need nothing from anyone else again. I explained why I both fully agree and disagree with this sentiment. Yes, God meets all our needs. But he uses people--The Body of Christ--to do it. Christianity isn't about being more "spiritual," but about being incarnational.

I recorded this video on 6/25/25, the 10th anniversary of receiving the email that changed my life. I was four weeks away from finishing my year-long internship and graduating with my master's in counseling psychology. Then, the head of the internship program at Chestnut Hill College emailed me to stop my internship immediately because of my work with men coping with unwanted same-sex attraction.
