On Friday 7/26/24, the summer Olympics opened in Paris, France, with a ceremony that was an offense to Christ. Most notably, they mocked the Last Supper with drag queens and queer icons, mixing in the Greek god of debauchery, Dionysus (AKA Bacchus). Christians around the world complained, and a lot of people from within the church rose up in defense of the opening ceremony, using gaslighting and other methods of dismissal. Let's take a closer look at what this whole display shows us about the LGBTQ agenda, spiritual warfare, and cowardly Christians. And how should we respond?

Going along with the recent videos I've done on shame and guilt, I invited onto my channel Dr. Diera Shaw-Mendez to share the presentation she did with her husband, Juan Mendez, at the July 2026 First Love Unbroken Conference. She and Juan co-direct Hope House for Our Families, operating discipleship homes in New Jersey for people in recovery. For her doctor in education degree at Liberty University, she completed a dissertation with research on the elements of moral injury and spiritual struggles that are so often missing from recovery treatment plans. We touch on some topics that are critical for my clients and so many others struggling with patterns of sin.
