One particular experience among some guys who grew up to develop same-sex attraction is that they matured earlier than the other boys in their peer group. Unfortunately, they would fall out of sync with their cohort. Here are my thoughts on this phenomenon, some potential contributing factors, and approaches to make up for the loss in development.

I expounded on a phenomenon I've observed with certain male clients that contributes to some degree to their homosexuality. These clients come from strict religious upbringings that emphasize the purity of women. These anxious clients then internalize this as a block against their own heterosexual development.
