Here's a short clip from my recent (and lengthy) video responding to Catholic psychologist Julia Sadusky's videos calling Reintegrative Therapy and Reparative Therapy the pejorative term "conversion therapy." I demonstrate how the term is bogus and inaccurate for describing professional, ethical therapy to help clients explore change in their unwanted same-sex attractions, behavior, and ideation, and maybe even explore their heterosexual potential. I also survey the alternative terms, SOCE, SOGICE, and SAFE-T.

During the Alliance for Therapeutic Choice & Scientific Integrity online conference Aug. 28 & 29, 2026, a topic came up in our Q&A. I expounded on a phenomenon I've observed with certain male clients that contributes to some degree to their homosexuality. These clients come from strict religious upbringings that emphasize the purity of women. These anxious clients then internalize this as a block against their own heterosexual development.
